Desi and Vanessa’s SoHo63 Wedding
When I, Cristina, first got the email from Vanessa I was unsure I wanted to meet them; their wedding was on my birthday, and I was unsure I wanted to give up my day to celebrate someone’s wedding. I decided that I would meet and let fate decide. Once I met these two beautiful brides to be, I was hooked and had to be their wedding photographer, best BIRTHDAY EVER!! Sometimes couples come into our lives, as wedding photographers, that remind us why we lover our job, and we are SO blessed that they find us. Desi and Vanessa are one of these couples.
As I edited their photos tears of joy ran down my cheeks; I could not help it. The amount of love from their friends and family on their wedding day was overwhelming. If there is anyone out there who is unsure how two people of the same sex could love each other, I wish they were a fly on the wall for this wedding!! No one can deny the love these two people have for one another. DePoy Studios can’t say enough about these two amazing ladies, they family, and friends. All welcomed us.
Unknowing, Desi and Vanessa put a special thank you together during their speech for me and a happy birthday shot came with it. I was swallowing back tears as I stood there, working, on someone’s special wedding day as they took a moment to wish me a happy birthday and tell me how grateful they were for finding DePoy Studios and how much it meant to them. More than a wedding photographer could ever imagine. We do this job because we love it, because of couples MaDly in love, because of couples like Desi and Vanessa! We are now in their lives forever and I am happy to call them friends.
The wedding day did not start out perfect, but in the end, it ended as the day meant to be. A huge shout out to the team at SoHo63 for making their wedding day breathtaking! As one of SoHo63 preferred wedding photographers when we met Desi and Vanessa we know that the beautiful, Chic, and modern feel of SoHo63 would be a prefect fit for these two beautiful brides to be and had to walk them over right in the middle of our meeting. Tears of joy ran down their faces and I knew they would fit right in with our crazy mad love for couples MaDly in love!!

It is a tradition for someone to ring a bell at family get togethers and everyone has to take a shot. As a gift from Desi family, Vanessa and Desi can now keep the tradition going strong at their own house.
It is not everyday we are sat with the couple’s loved ones, but we were at this wedding. A HUGE thank you for allowing us to really be a part of your wedding. What a great birthday gift!
